Annual Feast Of Football

Dear Friends, a few days ago Sister Meri Burlingame asked me if I “saw” any prophetic significance to the Super Bowl and the many aspects of ministry that are spun off of the simple fact of watching this grandiose football game.

To be honest my first thought was “Oh, you got to be kidding!”....and deep inside there was a cold echo that simply shook my spirit, “not hardly SON”....and suddenly there was a division between the event and all the hype centered over and around it.... and the things that the worldly apostate church cooks up because the world worships something and they want “a piece of the action”. “A PIECE OF THE ACTION”, was the term used by THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT. Remember it people....and weep for the separation of the wheat and tares is almost complete, when most speak and preach and teach it as an event of the unseen future.

But FIRST...let’s deal with the GREAT SPIRITUAL SIGNIFICANCE of the GAME ! ! ! ! ! Now GOD has a sense of humor that can be warm and tender.....all of us who call HIM ABBA without pretences know this in the intimacy of HIS EMBRACE....in the security of HIS ARMS. That gentle laughter that crushes our fears and restores HIS GOOD in our spirit man. Then again THE LORD OF HOSTS has a cold chilling humor that mocks to scorn the schemes of the enemy. If there is anyone who has heard this laughter, it is one you cannot mistake as your spirit immediately rises up with HIS to STAND against the enemy...and that is why he flees....GOD LAUGHED!!! Not because of man being spiritual.

And can man get spiritual...spiritualize anything and everything his pointy little head can imagine. So with a spiritual tongue sitting firmly planted in cheek I will explain the astoundingly deep “spiritual and prophetic significance” of next weeks game. Oh, you don’t have any revelation on it...well neither did I...and I didn’t expect any. In fact I did not want any.....

For you see I look at the “football spirit” as one I fought long and hard to be delivered of... and like the junky curled up in the shadows I still have sudden cravings.... but like I said GOD has a sense of humor.... now some people can’t take a joke....no matter who makes it and why.... there are times when your “best friend” “pulls one” on you that you both laugh at when any other person would offend, anger, and insult you....that is what I am now talking about.

As I said, some people have no sense of GODLY HUMOR....quite frankly I am attempting to offend these people right out of their smug place of stagnation. They will not see this “COSMIC JOKE” on the world, nor understand that in ABBA’S KINGDOM....EVERY TIME and EVERY SEASON...has SPECIFIC PURPOSE in HIS KINGDOM.... to those enslaved by choice within the abyss of the apostate religious systems that inundate America don’t expect THUS SAITH THE LORD....JESUS did not play the Pharisees’ games and HE WONT PLAY YOURS........selah. That is a free-be from me to you....

THE BRONCOS AND THE FALCONS....the great prophetic plan of the ages.... or in other words....how to spiritualize anything and everything for fun and prophet.... One of the most embarrassing things I have personally with those who call themselves GOD’S SERVANTS is when they have to find some hidden spiritual meaning to every word or event in their lives.... as if GOD just does not let things flow. The milk sours and the guy has a great six part message well up out of his agenda. The fact that it sat four weeks in the refrigerator had nothing to do with it. But the hyper spiritual can use anything to push their agendas and opinions....and GOD will use it to do things HIS WAY....goes back to the foolish/wicked servant who buried his talent. JESUS never refuted the statement of being a hard and demanding MASTER. This aspect no one is eager to preach on in any detail. A lot of flesh based ministry will be used in the days ahead by THE KING....and those investing their time and money on such ministry will find themselves standing with the goats in utter amazement without a clue....just as they are today...without a clue....which is why fleshly endeavors appeal to them so strongly.

Where was I...yeah, the GAME....THE CONFRONTATION OF GOOD AND EVIL!!!.... Uh, not that one? Okay LORD, the game on the last Sunday in January 1999.... THE BRONCOS and THE FALCONS....and the PLAGUE on both houses.... in other words...neither side of the issue will serve GOD well in the days ahead.... an image of the ENDTIME American church....

Throughout the world GOD has a long hard joke playing out against the arrogant apostate church of America. The Remnant presently in America is hearing over and over GET OUT! ! ! But where to is the question we ask, but we should be asking from what. Many have spoken of a coming “civil war” in the church. The problem is the “church” is not of GOD. Throughout the world THE SAINTS are under arrest, persecution, enslavement in labor camps while “we” plan events with wide screen projection TV’s....if you don’t see the disparity here, you really need deliverance from the world system....and the religious idol in your lives.

THE BRONCOS AND THE FALCONS....the two sides of the present war just starting within the whore...MYSTERY BABYLON presently in PEACE and PROSPERITY....FAT and LAZY in America the once great and soon to fall...

A BRONCO is an unbroken, untrained will of it’s own, horse. It is not another name for a BULL. A FALCON is a small bird of prey, tamed by man to hunt and kill, but always hooded and tethered.

A BRONCO in a rodeo is expected to buck and to fight anything that gets on it’s back..... a FALCON in the wild is a wondrous creature of great sight, speed and power....but it is not an EAGLE....

The apostate church is presently hundreds of self centered denominations oblivious to anything and everything GOD is doing...period. And these denominations are made up of thousands upon thousands of individual churches that are playing their own little games on their own little fields...their ball and their rules.

 

But HE WHO SITS ON THE THRONE SAYS.…

ALL OF YOU ARE EITHER A BRONCO… OR A FALCON....YOU WERE CREATED TO BE A HORSE I COULD RIDE TO VICTORY OVER THE WORLD, THE FLESH, AND THE DEVIL FOR YOUR SAKES. BUT YOU WOULD NOT SUBMIT TO MY HALTER AND ACCEPT MY WILL OVER YOUR OWN FEARS OF DIVINE AUTHORITY DESTROYING YOUR FREEDOM. AMONG YOU ARE FALCONS....THOSE CALLED TO BE EAGLES AND TO SOAR IN MY HEIGHTS YET SETTLED TO STAY CLOSE TO EARTH. IN TIME THE WORLD CAUGHT YOU AND HOODED YOU, TRAINED YOU TO ENTERTAIN THE RULERS OF THIS WORLD. YOU HUNT AND KILL AS THE RULERS OF DARKNESS DIRECT YOU TO ENTERTAIN THEMSELVES.

WILD HORSES WHO BATTLE ME IN MY OWN NAME.... LIMITED, UNDERSIZED RAPTORS TURNED FROM THEIR CREATED FULLNESS BY THE ENEMY. THIS IS THE GAME OF THE END DAYS....THE BATTLE OF THOSE WHO REFUSE MY HOLY SPIRIT....AND THOSE WHO HAVE TRAPPED AND HOODED MANY CALLED TO BE PROPHETS WHO SERVE NOT MY SPIRIT OR MY KINGDOM.

THE FIELD OF PLAY ARE THE SHEEP OF AMERICA....AND EACH SIDE VIES FOR NUMBERS. THEY SCORE BY STEALING EACH OTHER’S SHEEP.... FORGETTING THAT THEY ARE MY SHEEP. IT IS FALSE RELIGION AGAINST FALSE RELIGION.

THE PLAYERS CHANGE FROM SIDE TO SIDE AS EACH YEAR GOES BY. THE UNIFORMS CHANGE....THEIR PLAYBOOKS CHANGE. AND THE PEOPLE ARE ENTERTAINED TO THEIR GLUTTONOUS FULL.

THE OWNERS/RULERS MOVE BEHIND THE SCENES IN WEALTH AND POWER CONTROLLING AS THE SUPERSTAR PLAYERS FIGHT FOR TV EXPOSURE AND LUCRATIVE CONTRACTS. SO MANY SHINE BRIGHTLY FOR A SHORT TIME, BUT FEW WILL BE REMEMBERED BEYOND THEIR TIME.... SO IS IT IN THE AMERICAN CHURCH...

So there you have the real spiritual meaning GOD SNUCK into the game... now how we play along is another issue... neither of which I am laughing about.

The Reason for Fellowship

Everywhere you go tomorrow in America you will find some churches advertise that next Sunday they will be having a special “Super Bowl” event. In some cases it will be a big to do. In some it is just a chance for fellowship among the “brothers”. The sisters do it all the time in their sovereign authority as “women”. Woman to woman ministry has been around since Noah’s wife and daughters-in-law got on the ark. To them it might have been the ancient version of a bass boat, something about big boys and big toys....

Till it rained.

Women gather to celebrate weddings, and childbirth throughout the year. Have bible studies and teas. Women can assemble as complete strangers, and in minutes have the pictures out and be in a unity the male critter cannot imagine, yet accepts as reality.

Interestingly enough the idea of a “shower” can bridge the void between church and world without a qualm or a second thought. The reason is women see “community” from a different perspective than men.

On the other hand men can not take the worldly “rights of passage” and churchify them comfortably. I have yet to be invited to a “Christian bachelor’s party”. I guess they actually have occurred, but you got me beat for what they would do... all the images are so worldly it boggles the imagination.

Now I have heard of “male bonding”, but it is, in my humble opinion, psycho babble. As hard as we try to blend together as we are told by those who speak of oneness and unity, it has not worked well. Promise Keepers tried to activate men to come together in JESUS, in spite of the fact men will naturally shy away from unknown faces. Even JESUS is not enough reason for men to lay down their swords and act nice to each other. It is a horrible shame.

In the depths of human experience there are only two areas where men can forget their differences. In this I am talking big differences...religion, race, language.... and it has not had a real long history in the world view.... And it only takes place in America, and fairly recently at that. The first is war, the second is sports. Both require team attitude over individual attitude and it stems from the aspect of competition. In war it is physical survival...in sports it is the survival of one’s self esteem. Call it “pride”, “honor”, “glory”. They all stand out from the issues of survival and victory.

So when men gather to watch an event it is the vicarious association of the spectator to the participant. The participants are aware of the crowd and “perform”. Yet even then they are equally aware of their teammates expectation for “performance and precision”. Our national sports have come to mirror all that is both good and bad in America, and the church. The ideals of teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline to reach a goal, stamina, and integrity all can be seen in this community of professional sports.

Then again the sins of America when played out by these “HEROES” as played out on the world stage are disheartening and magnified by the size of the “HERO” before his fall.

There are some good men in all the professional sports America is addicted to, but certainly not enough. Not enough to outweigh the failures. But America is addicted just as ancient Rome was. Many have paralleled the fall of Rome with modern America, so I will not belabor a point well made.

Now there are churches and pastors saying let’s get the guys together so we can meet each other and become friends. Build a little as we learn that we are not enemies, in JESUS NAME. But then there are the churches and pastors that are going to make this “an evangelical outreach to win the lost for CHRIST”. Notice the difference? Why make it an EVENT? Do we have to justify this, as some big religious endeavor made to sound spiritual? Somewhere deep behind this bull dung is a guy, or two, or a couple of thousand that just don’t know the REAL JESUS. If there was anyone less religiously vapor locked then JESUS was we’ll never know. JESUS was “one of the guys”. HE probably got so many invites that those HE could not/would not hang out with were the ones who whispered about the kinds of people HE had no problem hanging with. If only we had HIS utter lack of concern of what people thought or said about HIM.

You want to use the SUPER BOWL to get “Christian men” to sit in the same vicinity for 30 minutes before feeling they need to leave. Find on that SUNDAY we may actually find some men willing to stay to the end, even if it ain’t a sermon. That would be a mighty victory in the heavenlies. Please just don’t try to make it what it is not, a hyper religious exercise. And I can safely bet there is some bozo out there trying to dream up a “kick-off benediction” and an excuse to pick up a “love offering” at half time.

Yes it is good for brothers to dwell together in unity.... But in America today “unity” is a “dirty word”. Religion is telling us that all the time. So if unity is not possible, let’s think “community”. To endorse the concept of men being together without agenda or pretense to just hang out. In time the ideas of team and comradeship will grow.

America needs both in the days ahead.

I could talk about the issue of professional sports as an aspect of the entertainment addiction in America today. Throw in the drunkenness and gambling that are often associated with sports fans and the increasing violence in America. But they are just symptoms of the disease, and not the source. The disease killing America is lawlessness. The absence of GOD in the lives of individuals.

It is not new, but it has become pervasive.

The Prophet Malachi wrote of such a time....

Malachi 3:13-18

13 Your words have been stout against me, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, What have we spoken so much against thee?

14 Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?

15 And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.

16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.

17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not. (KJV)

Verse 16 does not tell us what they said that got GOD “juiced” and said this IS GOOD!!!.

All we know is HIS PEOPLE...that’s right....HE CLAIMS AS HIS THOSE WHO “FEARED” HIM....and HE ORDERED the fact recorded for all eternity that HIS KIDS TALKED OFTEN TOGETHER. One Sunday a year isn’t enough...but it can be a good start.

This was no religious event, evangelical, prophetic extravaganza. Just ABBA’S KIDS...sitting and talking. Sure we can assume it was about HIM....but don’t pigeon hole it....don’t restrict it in any way. Just accept the idea that ABBA don’t need us forcing anything down anyone else’s throat. About time we learned it. None of us like it when people try to do it to us. So when you see it happening around you, stop it before eternal damage is done. Be a “son that serves” ABBA. and discern that which is GOD’S.

The Rams And The Titans

It is now the third day and I wondered if anyone saw beyond the surface..... The score was “too close for comfort” and if you had bet’s riding the winning RAMS failed to make the “spread”. So it makes one wonder........

Now if you were seeing it from a BABYLONIAN/Pagan point of view the best thing about the whole exhibition was the ONE WORLD half time show. But even in old Babylon there was a man who saw.....his name was Daniel....or “Judge of GOD”. So weigh these thoughts......

The RAMS were “THE GOOD GUYS”....expected to win. They had the Cinderella QB and the long denied coach....all nice guys. From a “christian” imagery situation all Rams are simply mature male sheep. Common members of any flock. So if we be HIS SHEEP, then THE RAMS WERE GOD’S TEAM.

Especially when you remember what TITANS were/are.

In Greek mythology they were the Demi-Gods that existed before mankind. They were immortal and were vanquished by the Olympians. In their group where such illustrious characters as “Prometheus”, “Atlas”, “Triton”, “Helios”, “Typhon”, “Python”, and others.... They were the Greek “Giants”....performers of exploits....sources of legend and myth. In the Hebrew they were called “giants” also....Nephalim. But they were the offspring of Fallen angels and mortal women. The Greeks called these half immortal hybrids HEROES.

In scripture giants opposed GOD’S people and were destroyed.... at a cost.

So what really happened Sunday? Well....... THE GOOD GUYS WON..... or so it seemed.

In the first half the RAMS gave a dazzling performance of offensive yardage....... But could not cross the goal line. The Rams QB played a record book game..... and squeaked out a win on the last play of the game...one yard short of tragedy....

Repeatedly the Christian Church has made many great strides over the last 2000 years. But no matter when, how, where, and why every “great move of GOD” fell somewhat short.

In the second half the awesome air attack of the RAMS gave way to the pounding ground attack of the TITANS. Momentum, that fickle thing, fell out of the hands of the “anointed” heroes and we watched as the courageous Rams defense were worn down and beaten back. On the last drive of the game the RAMS started giving away yardage due to penalties. Several times on critical plays the “penalties” did more damage than the TITAN OFFENSE gained.

For 60 minutes the battles raged head to head and the only break in the deadlock was the last drive of the Rams where a miracle took place. A long “pass and run” that took no more than 30 seconds on the clock. It turned out to be the Margin of VICTORY in this bizarre morality play.

The game should never have been this close. All the analysts agreed that THE RAMS were the best “RED ZONE” offense in the NFL this year. The score could have/should have been a 21-28 point victory for THE RAMS.

But it did not happen.....

For 2000 years THE SAINTS of GOD have had all THE GIFTS and Promises we have today. ALL AUTHORITY.... ALL POWER.... ALL OPPORTUNITY.... to take the GOSPEL to a world that awaited our “WITNESS”....

We should have blown the devil and his minions off the field..... we had the weapons and THE MOST HOLY SPIRIT..... so what’s wrong?

You tell me....I can not figure it....

And then we have Daniel’s account of the BIG GAME....

Daniel 7:21-28

21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart. (KJV)

Well, guy, I know how you felt....if it was not for the ANCIENT OF DAYS sending in the last minute play....

Daniel 7:13-14

13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (KJV)

Seems like there was another play by play account of the BIG GAME...

Revelation 13:1-18

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (KJV)

I guess the “key” sound bytes here are...” “made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;” .... “and shall wear out the saints of the most High”,

“7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”

Now where the heck is that RAH RAH RAH from the Pep Squad.....

Revelation 12:10-12

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. (KJV)

Now that is not what we were expecting....not even close to “beam me up Scotty”.... But it is THE WORD....it is THE TRUTH....and probably not the way you expected it. Get used to it....

I doubt that anyone is expecting what is about to come....in spite of all the warnings.
